I was born and raised in Columbia, Missouri to Sudanese and Somali parents. In 2019 I graduated from the University of Missouri with my degree in Biochemistry. Navigating through graduate school has been difficult especially as a Black women in STEM but, I was fortunate enough to be surrounded by a network of mentors that supported and advocated for me. My goal is help provide that mentorship to the future generation of scientists. I love to chat about baking, movies, and anime.
