I'm a third year Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Pharmacology, a Fulbright alum, and a proud member of the Bouchet Graduate Honor Society here at U-M. I'm also overcame many challenges to get here including academic probation in college and over 20 rejections from graduate school (including my current Ph.D. program). I chose U-M because I knew I'd be supported as a Black woman and receive the best training in the world so that I could pursue a career using science to promote global health.
