California, West Coast, Woman In STEM, 1st Gen PhD

I'm a second year Genetics and Genomics PhD student co-mentored by Alan Boyle and Corey Speers studying gene regulation in triple-negative breast cancer. I lived in Southern California my whole life and got my Bachelor's in Applied Math from California State University, Fullerton. I didn't know I was interested in research until my third year of undergrad, but I've found my passion in biomedical research. Outside of science, I enjoy cooking, weightlifting, and exploring Ann Arbor!
